| Hulusi is a free reed instrument made of a gourd with bamboo pipes fixed at the bottom. The middle pipe is a main pipe with 7 finger holes, 6 in front and 1 at the back. The pipes on both sides are drone pipes which can play harmony along with the main melody. We offer double-harmony hulusi and triple-harmony hulusi made by various renowned hulusi makers in Yunnan as well as other parts of China. We also have double mouth piece cloisonne hulusi which allows the player to play two keys alternatively in one hulusi. Our newest arrival is African crane gourd hulusi which has very fabulous look and beautiful sound. |

Double Mouthpiece Hulusi

|
| The player can either play the key of G or D, depending which mouthpiece and main pipe one is controlling. Harmony is achieved by unblocking the side hole on the left by using the last finger of the left hand. This allows the performer to play with or without harmony at any time during the playing of the piece. | |
